Meet Our Founder

Dr. Beckley is a licensed Latina bilingual psychotherapist based in Washington, DC, a certified trauma therapist, and a national certified counselor with 15 years of experience serving diverse populations in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Latin America. Specializing in trauma and crisis intervention—focusing humanitarian aid, forced immigration, human trafficking, violence against women and children, and addictions—she leverages her expertise as an Industrial Organizational Psychologist and International Psychologist, Ph.D. to create and implement innovative mental health programs across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Her work has empowered international psychologists, social workers, and public justice officials through specialized training in trauma-informed care and multicultural counseling. Recognizing the need for culturally attuned mental health services for diverse communities. Ms.Beckley established Wellness Restoration Counseling group practice to provide evidence-based counseling to diverse clients who are experiencing anxiety and depression due to life transitions. In addition to her strategic leadership, she provides clinical supervision to clinicians in delivering effective, diversity-integrated care and mentors emerging therapists as a clinical supervisor. Her broad influence as an international clinical consultant, mental health content creator, mental health provider, and advocate has been recognized by leading institutions such as Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, Cambridge Health Alliance, the National Council on Problem Gambling, and the American Psychological Association.

“I believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support and the opportunity to tell their story with dignity and care.”

Dr. Beckley founded this private group practice out of a deep commitment to providing consistent, high-quality mental health care. After years of working in community clinics where high turnover often impacted the continuity and quality of care, She was inspired to create a space where both clients and clinicians could thrive. Supporting others through their mental health journey is not just her profession—it’s her vocation and life’s purpose.

With over a decade of experience conducting immigration psychological evaluations, she has had the privilege of supporting immigrant individuals and families navigating some of the most difficult transitions of their lives. In response to the ongoing political uncertainty surrounding immigration, Dr. Beckley is committed to offering affordable, high-quality evaluations to our undocumented and immigrant communities. This work is deeply personal and purposeful as a daughter and wife of immigrants.
